It was a great day for the Kings Hockey Club they took first place in the Pacific Division and moved up to third in the Western Conference. The Kings beat the number one team in the league that was the St.Louis Blues in an exiting game that went into overtime and then into a shooy out in which the Kings won. The Kings goalie Jonathan Quick recorded his eigth shutout of the year tying for the most shutouts with the Rangers goalie Hendrik Lunquist. The Kings improve their winning streak to six games and will continue saturday 3/24/12 against the Boston Bruins at 6:00 p.m. The Bruins have lost to the SanJose Sharks 2-1 the other day. Jonathan Quick had 35 saves against the St.Louis Blues, and the two Kings that scored in the shootout were Mike Richards, and Jeff Carter. The Kings had two players in the three stars of the game selection, they were Jonathan Quick as the first star, and Anze Kopitar as the third star who recorded seven shots on goal.
